Programs / Legal Aid

The provision of accessible, high quality legal aid services to vulnerable women is at the core of ADAW International’s mandate. Women are disproportionately affected by poverty; ADAW International’s provision of legal services to these marginalized groups addresses poverty directly, by enabling them to have access to land and economic opportunities that they are routinely denied due to discriminatory cultural practices and values.

ADAW International’s capable legal staff and volunteers are equipped to handle a wide range of legal issues, provides reconciliation, case follow-up, in-court representation, document drafting services, and legal and human rights education. These services are delivered through a variety of channels: legal aid clinics, mobile legal aid clinics, field offices as well as via a toll-free hotline
